Update 1.10.: One desk will be available from 1.12.2019 onwards!
We are a nice bunch of creative professionals (digital, graphic and service designers, film makers, writers and researchers) working in a beautiful old stone house in Vallila, Helsinki.
Location of our co-working in the corner of Hauhontie and Keiteleentie is easy to reach from many directions: 200 meters from closest city bike stations and from the bus stops of Hämeentie and Mäkelänkatu, 300 meters from tram stops of lines 1, 6, 7 and 8 and about 10 minutes walk from Sörnäinen metro station.
However, nearby area is very peaceful, green and nice to walk or bike.
In the working space itself - originally a milk shop of Elanto - and in the protected neo-classicist house complex Hauho, there is a special historical and aesthetic atmosphere, which nourishes imagination and creativity!
In addition to the working room, there is also a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, a newly renovated toilet and a tiny little room for longer phone calls, totally silent work, meditation etc.
Social and ecological sustainability are our shared values. Electricity we use is renewable; sorting of waste, including plastic waste, is made easy; most of the furniture was bought recycled and so on. Cleaning is taken care of by Keikkapooli, a societal co-operative organized by Emmaus and HDL in order to empower especially women in vulnerable working-life situation (https://keikkapooli.wixsite.com/clean).
Our common language is English, but Finnish, Swedish, German and Spanish (and all others!) are fine too!
Rent (185€/month) includes use of the place 24/7, a spacious desk (75x180) and a chair if needed, kitchenware, water, electricity, insurance of the place, alarm system and cleaning every second week.
Other costs: one months rent as a deposit and a key deposit (50 €), which will be paid back in the end of the agreement.
Term of notice: two calendar months.
